  • Expert in toxicology of plant protection products


    EU market is believed to be one of Rainbow’s major markets in its strategic plan. Since November 2022, Rainbow announced the acquisition of 100% stake in Spanish Agrochemical Company Exclusivas Sarabia S.A. in cash. Since the acquisition of Exclusivas Sarabia, Rainbow is rapidly integrating its product system and marketing network, based on its clear strategic plan for the EU market.

    We are looking for an experience expert in toxicology risk assessment of active substances and plant protection products. Apply if you want to join a dynamic international team as expert responsible for study verification and dossier preparation for registration of plant protection products in European Union.

    We have office in Spain and will set up office in Poland, work at office or remote are both acceptable.


    Job description and tasks: 

    • Giving scientific and senior advice in toxicological risk assessment of active substances and plant protection products.

    • Preparing draft registration reports for plant protection products (section B6) in terms of toxicological properties based on the provisions of Regulation 1107/2009 and the guidelines of the European Commission, EFSA and national requirements.

    • Responsible for data gap analysis and toxicological preliminary risk assessment, for active substances and plant protection products. 

    • Coordination of the development of registration documentation for plant protection products and participation in the process of their registration. Evaluating authority requests and comments.

    • Cooperation with external laboratories, monitoring and commenting of toxicological studies for active substances and plant protection products.

    • In silico assessments of toxicological properties of active substances mainly in the fields of plant protection products according to legal requirements. Calculation of potential toxicological hazards using (Q)SAR software tools as well as assess, interpret and summarise obtained data in a weight of evidence approach. 

    • Project management.

    Requirements: 

    • Higher education: toxicology or equivalent discipline. Scientific background is advantageous.

    • At least 3 years of practical experience in toxicology in the regulatory context of active substances and plant protection products.

    • Regulatory professional in the area of Plant Protection Products with experience of Regulation 1107/2009, Technical Equivalence, Annex III dossier and Annex II renewals.

    • Experience in CLP or SDS preparation.

    • Very good level of written and spoken English, other language skills are advantageous

    • Self-motivation

    • Have the potential of leading a small team and excellent communication and team player skills.

    • Ability to manage complex issues and prioritize workload
